In March of 2025, employment fell by 33,000 and the unemployment rate rose by 10 bps from last month to 6.7%. This employment decline was driven by a decline in full-time work of approximately 62,000. This reverses the upward trend that had occurred in the second half of 2024 and held steady through the first two months of 2025.
